Adams Co. board approves revised animal control contract
QUINCY, Ill. —
The Adams County Board also approved changes in the county's animal control agreement Tuesday night.
Those changes include:
- The amount the county pays to a vet clinic when an animal is sent for care increased to $15 per day (previously $10).
- The cost of an animal that is humanely euthanized is increased from to $30 (previously $20).
- An owner has seven days to reclaim an impounded dog (previously three days) and if that animal is not reclaimed then it will be humanely euthanized or offered for adoption.
