Accused Pike County speeder headed to court

A man charged with leading authorities on a high-speed chase in Pike County will be back in court Wednesday.

An Iowa City man charged in a Pike County high-speed chase will be arraigned in court Thursday.

Cory Volberding, 20, is accused of resisting arrest by failing to stop and creating a substantial risk to others.

Police say the suspect refused to stop after a Pike County deputy clocked him going more than 85 miles per hour on Highway 61.

The chase ended when Volberding crashed his motorcycle on the west edge of Eolia.
