      Accused Best Buy shoplifter headed to prison

      A Springfield, Ill. woman is headed to prison for her part in a group shoplifting incident at Quincy's Best Buy store.

      Starlette Higgins, 25, pleaded guilty to retail theft Wednesday. A judge sentenced her to two years in prison as part of a plea deal.

      Police were called to Best Buy April 23, 2013 after witnesses spotted several shoplifters stealing electronic items.

      Illinois State Police officials tracked the suspect vehicle and stopped it on I-72 near Pittsfield.

      There, police found a number of electronic items, which were recovered from the suspect vehicle.

      There police arrested Higgins; Alexia I. Robinson, 22; Willisha S. Brown-Joiner, 21 and Silva Harris, 30; all of Springfield, Ill.

      All four female suspects face felony retail theft charges. They're being held in the Adams County Jail.

      A fifth suspect, Leonski D. Higgins, 34, also of Springfield has also been arrested; accused of waiting in the car at Best Buy during the theft.
