Accident leaves car resting on side

Quincy Police Department responded to motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 24th and Harrison Streets at 9:03 pm Wednesday.

One woman is now treating minor injuries after an accident in Quincy Wednesday night caused her vehicle to rest on the driver's side door.

Quincy Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 24th and Harrison Streets at 9:03 p.m.

Upon arrival at the scene, QPD discovered one vehicle resting on its side.

According to QPD witnesses on scene, they claimed a vehicle driven by Rhonda Kewney failed to stop at the four way stop while traveling south on South 24th Street.

Kewney's vehicle struck a vehicle in the intersection traveling eastbound on Harrison Street.

Eileen Rawlings was extricated from her vehicle by the Quincy Fire Department and Adams County EMS.

Rawlings was transported to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries.

She was treated and released.

Kewney was issued a citation and released on scene.
