Palmyra firefighters responded to a barn fire around 8 p.m. Monday in West Quincy.
According to Palmyra Fire Chief Gary Crane, the barn was located in the bottoms against the levee.
Crane said the barn burnt down, and a fire started at smaller barn close in proximity. Crews were able to tame the blaze on the smaller barn.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire. The Marion County Sheriff's Department was on scene to investigate the cause. Crane said the fire is deemed suspicious, due to there being no electricity in the building. He said the barn was empty and sitting for a long time.
