It may be cold outside, but things are just heating up at the Quincy Art Center as folks there prepare for their biggest fundraiser of the year.
The Beaux Arts Ball is scheduled for December 22nd at the Oakley Lindsay Center.
Chairperson Kim Kennedy says this year 17 young ladies are competing for the top fundraising title of Beaux Arts Queen.
Quincy has a longstanding tradition of supporting the arts, with the Ball itself dating back to the 1930s.
All proceeds from the Beaux Arts Ball go to the Quincy Art Center operations budget to keep the doors open and helps fund arts classes in local schools.
Tickets are $15 from contestants and $20 at the door.
