25 year old Quincy man dies in powered para-glider accident
ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. (KHQA) - A Quincy man is dead Friday morning after a powered para-gliding accident in Adams County, just north of Quincy.
Adams County deputies responded to a report of a powered para-glider accident in a wheat field located near 7900 Ewbanks Road in Adams County just after 8:30 a.m.
Adams county paramedics transported 25-year-old James Mixer of Quincy to Blessing Hospital for severe injuries sustained during the para-glider accident.
Mixer was pronounced dead at Blessing Hospital a short time later.
Mixer was flying a Blackhawk paraglider he had launched from "Discover Powered Paragliding."
This is the second accident this year related to a para-glider accident.
