Tails will wag for upcoming Mutt Strut Tailgate

Apperson is 8 weeks old and ready to play!

The Quincy Humane Society needs your help to make its largest annual fundraiser a success.

The 19th annual Mutt Strut will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 featuring dogs and owners parading through South Park.

This year's theme is "Tailgate".

While the day will be fun for pets with homes, all the proceeds go towards caring for their orphaned friends. Click here to view all available pets at the Quincy Humane Society.

"The money that we raise goes towards the care for all the animals that come in," Sally Westerhoff, Executive Director of the Quincy Humane Society said. "We are privately funded so we don't get any money from the government. The money we raise goes towards vaccinations, food and if they are hurt or wounded we get them any care they might need to get them back on their feet."
