National Nutrition Month: Tips and tricks to easy meal prepping
March is here and that means it's National Nutrition Month. Local dietitians are asking that everyone put their best fork forward.
One way you can kick off your nutrition goals is through meal prepping.
The Quincy YMCA is throwing their first ever freezer meal party.
The class will teach people how to save time and prep smarter.
They partnered with the Hy-Vee on Harrison to host the event.
Dietitian Jen Kamps says the key in achieving your best prepped meals is in the food choice.
"If you can include fruits and vegetables in your meals for your meal plans, then you are going to be setting yourself up for success and having more fruits and vegetables in your diet."
The course will show you how to prepare meals in minutes and will include five meals you can take home yourself.
The event is March 15th at 6:30 p.m and tickets are on sale now.
