NEW THIS MORNING: Farmers helping farmers
Farmers in and around Hancock County made another hay donation to farmers out west..
The hay is going to farmers who have lost their hay, livestock, and more to wildfires out west.
2.7 million acres of land were scorched, and more than a million head of livestock were killed in wildfires in early March.
Three semi trucks, loaded with hay, and a pickup truck and trailer is full of fencing supplies made the 600 mile trip.
Many farmers and businesses donated money for supplies, even fuel.
Ryan Kohl, with Double K Farms said monetary donations are still welcome as future hay and supply trips are planned.
Other farmers in the Tri-States have also made donations.
