      Missouri man hospitalized while aiding in flood control

      A 67-year-old Saverton, Mo. man was flown to an area hospital after he was pinned beneath a tractor while aiding in flood control operations.

      Oliver Spratt was taken to Blessing Hospital by helicopter with serious injuries. The incident occurred at 1:45 p.m. near Highways 168 and County Road 413 in Marion County south of Bleigh Construction.

      Workers were changing a construction implement on a John Deere tractor when it rolled forward pinning Spratt underneath, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.

      Spratt was taken to Blessing Hospital.
