Fabius River Drainage District seeks funding
The Fabius River Drainage District in Missouri is hoping to get some help from the state to enhance its infrastructure.
Commissioner Roger Sutter says the district is requesting one point five million dollars in economic development grant money to acquire flood gates for the railroad openings in the levee system.
He says the money would also purchase new pumps and diesel fuel tanks for the district's pump station.
There's no word yet on when the district will learn if its been approved for the grant.
