Adams County Emergency Management planning ahead for rising water

Mississippi River water levels have risen drastically as a result of area rainfall.

Adams County Emergency Management Agency is preparing and planning for interventions that may be required, a news release stated.

The river is predicted to crest at 28 feet beginning the night of Saturday, April 20 into Sunday, April 21.

Personnel with the Adams County Emergency Management have met with city and county officials, levy districts and private entities that could be impacted by potential flooding and concerns and actions have been discussed.
