Quincy Park Board to vote on new playgrounds

The Quincy Park Board will vote Wednesday on new playgrounds for two parks.

The vote will determine if South Park and Riverview Park will have a new playground installed.

The Park District held a pair of public forums last week that allowed people to choose between several different playgrounds for the parks.

According to Recreation and Marketing Supervisor Tim Klobe, the playground chosen for South Park will cost about $55,000. Riverview Park's chosen option will cost between $38,000 and $43,000.

If approved, the Park District hopes to have the playgrounds installed by June.
