Hannibal love triangle murder case to air on Investigation Discovery

A Hannibal love-triangle murder case will play out on national television this weekend.

The Investigation Discovery show Happily Never After will tell the story of Sandra Fugate's murder during an episode is called Shattered Sisterhood.

Sandra Fugate was shot to death by her fiance, Calvin Duana Petty on April 15, 2010, just two days before their wedding. Petty was convicted of her murder two years later.

The story will also go through the police investigation which uncovered Petty's then girlfriend Rebecca Kirk, who now faces charges of evidence tampering in connection with the murder. Investigators accuse her of trying to destroy a rifle, ammunition and clothing for Petty. Kirk is scheduled for trial in November.

"Two days before spitfire Sandy and quiet Duane are to wed, gunshots split them apart. Police first suspect a botched robbery but soon uncover an ex-flame from the internet and a mystery woman full of secrets. Who killed the vibrant bride-to-be?"

The episode featuring Kirk is entitled Shattered Sisterhood, and is scheduled to air Saturday Aug. 10, at 8 p.m. It will also re-run Sunday, August 11 at 12a.m., 4a.m. and noon.
