Hannibal men arrested on asphalt scam

A group of Hannibal men who tried to scam some residents in Newberry County South Carolina, pay their fine and are ordered by the sheriff never to come back to that county.

Newberry County Sheriff say the men were working under the company name of Asphalt Products.

The scam involved leftover asphalt from a previous job and the men would solicit business from other residents in the neighborhood.

All 11 men bonded out of jail used money to pay fines they incurred when they were charged.

The men are Michael Dean Brooks, 50; Chad William Culp, 25; Charles Eugene Culp, 27; James Lester Culp II, 27; Robert Alan Culp, 52; Michael Louis Morgan, 37; Evan Brady Phillips, 24; John Edward Renier, 45; Keven Leroy Todd, 26; Jason Neil Wade, 36; and Hershell Paul White, 65.
